Title: RE: NOTICE OF INFORMATION CONCERNING THE CHANGES TO THE PAYMENT METHOD FOR ELECTROTECHNICAL PRE-MARKET APPROVAL APPLICATIONS (LOA, RCC, AC, AND SALES PERMITS)

Kindly take notice that the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) Electrotechnical Business Unit is in the process of updating payment methods for all pre-market approval applications: Letter of Authority (LOA), Regulatory Compliance Certificate (RCC), Approval Certificate (AC), and Sales permits, often linked to new online database registrations. This is to ensure compliance with regulations regarding safety and quality standards for electronic products.

The Purchase Order (PO) payment method will no longer be accepted for pre- market applications, effective 1 June 2026. Only direct payment method will be accepted for these applications henceforth. The decision has been taken as part of our broader efforts to improve operational efficiency and reduce turnaround times in processing applications. The manual verification associated with PO payments has contributed to delays, and this change will support a more streamlined and timely service delivery.

Further to the above, the NRCS is implementing several other processes aimed at enhancing efficiency and ensuring quicker processing of applications, which will be announced in the course of time.

All stakeholders and applicants are advised to prepare for this update by ensuring that their internal finance systems are updated to support the aforesaid change by 1 June 2026.
